1 on 1 Tutoring

Tutors with 1600s

32 Question Types

1 on 1 Tutoring

With our 1 on 1 tutoring, students are learning new methods during 100% of their time here.

At other tutoring classes, students spend most of their time waiting.

At other tutoring classes, they’re either waiting for a slower classmate to finally understand the topic, or they’re waiting while the teacher explains the hardest problem to the star pupil.

Our 1 on 1 tutoring solves these problems, letting students learn understandable new methods during 100% of their time here.

Tutors with 1600s

We have tutors who scored a 1600 on the SAT.

Plus other tutors with 1500+ scores

32 Question Types

Questions on the ACT and SAT follow a pattern.

We created 32 categories of questions that students will see on the Reading, Writing, and Math sections.

Our tutors teach students how to recognize and solve every question in every category.

Instead of guessing or hacking together a solution, they will know exactly what to do for each problem.

Ideal Prep Times; 3 hours per week for 1-2 months before the SAT or ACT.
Free for all students: Textbooks, Practice Tests, and Online Learning Portal.

The Dugan Prep Advantage

Socratic Method

Socratic Method

The Socratic Method was developed by Socrates of Athens. Following his method, everything we teach is presented in question and answer form. First, we teach students notes, facts, and methods to solve problems.  But after they learn, we challenge kids to explain how they solved each problem. We ask “why did you make this decision here?” to create a deep understanding. Our notes are also available online in Q & A form for students to quiz themselves for homework.

Former Testmaker

Former Testmaker

“I worked to create practice SAT exams from scratch to simulate the real exam.  So I understand just how testmakers create the test, and I understand how to help kids beat it.” -Founder Tim Dugan

Guided Exams

Guided Exams

For the toughest cases, we use a Guided Practice SAT.
In it, students take an SAT with a tutor nearby.
The tutors push students to identify which category of problem they face.
Students must announce how to deal with the problem.
The tutors will step in with advice when needed.
This method has cracked even the toughest of cases of test anxiety.
